To promote traditional handicrafts of India a cultural fair is held annually at Surajkund, Haryana. It is in general called "Surajkund Mela". Skilled artisans from all over the country display their rich crafts tradition in a typical rural setting with plethora of cultural programs that continue from day one to end of the fair throughout the day. Artisans and craftsman from India and SAARC nations participate in this Mela. Not only traditional and cultural crafts are displayed but also cuisines and delicacies from all over India are also available for your taste buds. It draws over a million visitors every year. This fair is held during the months of January end to February mid every year.
